What must you do to be saved?
Being “good” or our service in law enforcement won’t and can’t save you from an otherwise just sentence in a very real place called Hell, and our Lord does not want you to go there! You have a choice!
You may consider yourself a good person. You may have devoted your life to helping others and doing good. But is that enough? What does the Bible (God speaking to us through His Word, the Bible) say about doing good works to get into heaven? Take the Good Person Test and see how you do!
So then, what must you do to be saved and go to Heaven? Well, let’s start with what Jesus said in his first recorded words in His earthly ministry: “Repent and believe the Gospel…” (Mark 1:15) and, in response to being questioned on this, Jesus said (and SAYS), “You must be born again…” (John 3:1:21). But what (you may ask) does this really mean? I can’t encourage you enough to explore the following:
(1) What must I do to be saved?
(2) What does it mean to be “born again” (saved and have the sure hope of Heaven)?
